One-hour MCLE on sensitivity and understanding of the LGBTQ+ Community with a Trans 101 and general LGBTQ+ sensitivity presentation for those working with LGBTQ+ community members.
"Marriage Equality vs. Divorce Equality"

Panelists: Marc André Bertet of Hersh Mannis LLP, Garry M. Gekht of Law Offices of Schuchman & Kaplan and Julie McAlarnen of Kolodny Law Group
LGBTQ+ attorneys who devote their practice to family law, will provide insight as to how divorce impacts the LGBTQ+ community, particularly now that marriage equality is the law of the land after the Supreme Court’s ruling on June 26, 2015 in Obergefell v. Hodges. Topics will include property rights, spousal support, Marvin actions, and prenuptial agreements.
