Performance Skills for Lawyers
Supercharge your public speaking, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills with this fun and interactive workshop taught by leading performance skills coach and Stanford and Berkeley Law School Lecturer, Paul Marchegiani. Drawing on established techniques from theater, persuasion science, and peak performance training, you'll learn how embodied communication can help you deliver a persuasive message, develop gravitas, manage performance anxiety, and inhabit any space with physical and vocal presence that authentically connects.

Presenter:
Paul Marchegiani is a performance skills coach, Lecturer in Law at U.C. Berkeley and Stanford Law School, and Founder/CEO of Vox Vera®, a performance skills consulting firm that trains lawyers and leaders to develop the capacity to connect, lead, and persuade under real pressure. Prior to launching Vox Vera, Paul worked for over 15 years in Hollywood as a studio dealmaker at NBCUniversal (where he received the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association's Out & Proud Corporate Counsel Award), Warner Bros., Miramax, and Amazon Studios, leading business & legal affairs teams and negotiating rights and talent deals for leading actors, writers, directors, and producers. Paul began his career as a litigator at Orrick and Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco after receiving his JD from UC Berkeley and a BA (History) and BMus (Voice & Opera) from Northwestern University.
Paul is also an experienced stage performer (LA Opera, SF Symphony Chorus, Chicago Symphony Chorus, Ensemble Shakespeare Company), and is the only U.S. lawyer and senior business executive to hold a teaching certification from world-renowned voice, presence, and Shakespeare expert Patsy Rodenburg.
